Your New Fall Favorite: Maple Cinnamon Latte Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup milk (you can use your favorite milk of choice: oat milk, almond milk, coconut milk... whatever you have on hand!)
  • 2 shots espresso or ¼ cup strong brewed coffee
  • 1 tbsp real maple syrup (Don't use the fake stuff! You can use more if you like your lattes on the sweeter side.)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • In your mug, add the espresso, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Let the hot espresso dissolve the ingredients.
  • Heat up your milk in the microwave for about 1 minute or on the stove.
  • Pour your milk into a milk frother and froth until you have thick foam (I usually use my Aerocinno, but you can easily use a handheld milk frother, instead. Just make sure whatever you froth it in has a pouring spout to make it easier. I usually use a glass measuring glass or a cream pitcher when I do it this way.)
  • Pour the milk over your espresso or strong coffee in the mug, and make sure to scoop out the extra foam.
  • Garnish with some more cinnamon on top if you wish

Notes

  • You can also add a dollop of whipped cream on top if you're feeling extra indulgent.
  • Opt for pure maple syrup, not the imitation ones, for the best flavor (In case you missed it the other two times I said it, this is really important!)
  • You can also warm your milk in a small saucepan over medium heat and remove it right before it starts boiling. Cook for about 4-6 minutes on medium-high heat. I'm usually too busy (or impatient!) to wait for this method, so I go for the Aerocinno or microwave + handheld frother combo.
